About

I work with families and loved ones of incarcerated individuals who are trying to make sense of a difficult system and figure out what to do next. I provide non-legal advocacy and communication support, helping people organize information, communicate clearly, and take thoughtful next steps when the process feels overwhelming.

My Background

My work sits at the intersection of justice advocacy, system navigation, and writing. I collaborate with families and organizations focused on accountability, dignity, and reform, and I am actively involved in justice-focused leadership and advocacy efforts. I also pursue academic study in psychology and law related fields, which informs how I approach communication, decision-making, and support under stress.

I currently serve in leadership and advisory roles within justice-focused organizations, including the board service with the Florida Justice Institute, and I am a co-founder of Light After Life, a faith-rooted, family led advocacy movement focused on advancing justice reform through restoration accountability, and meaningful second chances.

I am also the author of When Mercy Met Me, a book that examines accountability after harm inside a system built on permanent punishment and looks closely at how that structure shapes responsibility, harm, and consequence in practice.

How I Work

All support is structured and scheduled in advance, beginning with a brief intake. This allows me to prepare thoughtfully and provide focused, grounded support rather than reactive responses. I believe careful preparation leads to clearer communication and more effective advocacy.

Some families come with drafts or notes they want help refining. Others come seeking clarity about what to do or who to contact. Both are welcome. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you move forward in a way that feels manageable and informed.

Boundaries and Scope

I am not an attorney and do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or case strategy. My services focus on non-legal advocacy support, communication assistance, and help navigating systems and processes on behalf of incarcerated loved ones.

If you’re unsure whether this type of support is appropriate for your situation, you’re welcome to reach out. We can begin with a conversation and determine the best next step.
